Jack Smith, President & CEO of Sourcing Spring Leadership Solutions, excels at recruiting and placing, assessing and developing executives and leaders. Jack has recruited and placed chief executive and chief operating officers, and group and business unit presidents and managing directors for public and private companies. He has also recruited senior corporate officers across key functional disciplines in accounting, finance, information technology, business development, strategy, sales and marketing, manufacturing, engineering, R&D, Six Sigma and lean, human resources, and supply chain.

Jack also helps senior leaders and boards advance their companies and careers by providing insightful assessments, performance coaching, and guidance for leadership development and career transition.  He helps CEO’s and executives and managers across all the functions of organizations to significantly improve how they strategically determine their human capital needs and how they identify, hire and develop their leaders. He is a strategic thinker able to help solve complex organization and business issues. His strategic human capital knowledge and experience promote superior performance.

Jack  served as founder, president and CEO, of an award-winning human resources outsourcing firm (Barton Employment Outsourcing, LLC), as founder and president of an industry leading environmental remediation services company (GNB Environmental Services, Inc,) and as general manager of a best-in-class industrial welding equipment manufacturing company (a division of ITW Miller Electric).  He also served for over 20 years as executive vice president of human resources and administration for three top performing Fortune 500 industrial and supply chain companies (Pacific Dunlop/GNB Technologies, Inc., Alcoa/BHP Billiton/Integris Metals, Inc. and Goodrich/EnPro Industries, Inc.).

Jack attended Pomona College, Claremont, California for his undergraduate liberal arts education and was awarded an MBA from California State University, Fullerton, California. He has also completed post graduate studies at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin while working toward a Ph.D. in organization change readiness during acquisition integrations.

Jack serves as co-chairman of the WWS Foundation in support of Royal Family Kids Camps for abused and abandoned children, and was a past board member of Students in Free Enterprise (Enactus) and Etude School for the Arts and Academics, and of the Metals Service Center Institute and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and was a past member of Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI, National Association of Professional Employer Organizations, and Battery Council International.

Jack thoroughly enjoys his family, fly fishing, riding his Harley’s, the Green Bay Packers, CSU Fullerton Titan baseball, golf and reading. He and his wife Kristine live in Kohler, WI and La Quinta, CA.
